Coach Mehdi Kaveh
Head Instructor/Lead Coach
Coach Kaveh competed internationally for Iran, where he was born and trained ad still has deep roots to the national team there. He was a three time national champion and competed on the World Cup team for Iran, where he won Gold. Following a successful wrestling career, he came to the United States where he coached for 8 years at Brown University as an assistant coach and ran his own kids wrestling school- MK Wrestling. He has coached many of the best wrestlers in country and now brings his years of experience in both Freestyle and Folkstyle wrestling to Orange County kids
Coach Greg Colwell
Assistant Coach/Varsity Head
Coach Colwell has been the head coach of the Aliso Niguel Wrestling team for the past 10 years. Prior to that, he was the assistant coach for the team under All-American Mat Orndorff and a successful wrestling career at Dana Hills High School. Coach Colwell has been responsible for the development of state qualifiers, Masters Placers, and CIF champs over the course of his tenure at Aliso Niguel. Under his management, the Aliso wrestling team has grown and prospered.
